MY METHOD IS ADAPTABLE TO ALL LEVELS - BEGINNERS TO ADVANCED STUDENTS..
I have been teaching French, all levels,in New York City for over 19 years. I have created my own method because I couldn't find anything that was interesting enough for adults to want to stay with it.
My method can be a bit academic at times but in the long run, you will build a solid base or develop rapidly your existing knowledge through conversation and written exercises. Your speaking and understanding skills will improve tremendously.
I also use translations to help you get out of your comfort zone (present/passe compose).
I promise that although classes are serious, you will have fun.
If you don't have fun doing something you won't learn it, right ?
I was born and raised in Geneva. Hence, my native language is French. I have been teaching French in New York City for over 19 years to mostly professional English speaking adults.
THIS IS NOT SOMETHING I DO PART-TIME LIKE MOST OTHER FRENCH PRIVATE TUTORS IN NYC. I AM A FULL -TIME TEACHER !
My method (strong focus on verbs, sentence structure and conversation) is based on the experience I have had over the years in welcoming students who had been learning with other teachers or in different schools and who were obviously ill prepared to speak or understand French when outside of their comfort zones.
It would be easier to "show" you my method in order for you to see what it is about. In that objective we could meet for what I call an "introduction to the method session". It is FREE ! It is NOT a lesson and only takes about 1/2 hour of your time. My "private class" hourly rate is $70 is suitable to you (4 lessons payable in advance unless otherwise agreed upon). If you want to come more than once a week, we can work something out. I hope to hear from you soon.
